That's funny because Xbox owners are always calling them a dirty bunch of w******!
@OpieWinston
To truthfully answer your question, I haven't played Forza Horizon One. I didn't know it includes Drive Club style clubs. I stand corrected.
This Drive Club feature reeks of feature creep.
Let me explain it for you, Phil Spencer saw that Sony were releasing a game with a 'Drive' Club so now Forza added a feature called a 'Race' Club. Now obviously developers copy ideas but if it is done mid-development then it might not be as well realised. Forza Horizon 2 does look like fun I just think this was added to be a bit keeping up with the Joneses.
Polygon and Kotaku are two websites that the gamer public are already distrustful of. Their inaction against their staff highlights their desire to protect their favourites rather than being unbias and professional. The danger is that with this philosophy it will affect their game coverage.
Kotaku editor Stephen Totilo should stand down or Gawker should fire him.
He has no scruples - when the relationship of his writer came to light he pushed his readers' concerns...
Great article.
Previously N4G contributors with multiple bubbles have LAMED articles because they said they don't have anything to do with games. But this is wrong because If the websites presenting us news about games have not been ethical then it means the information might be tainted.
The problem is the video game reporting industryis actually a small place, across the bigger companies everybody knows everybody and nobody wants to upset anybody who might bloc...
@WilliamUsher. In that example the story received 18 approvals. one person lamed the story, 90 disagreed, 3 agreed. However that was enough to kill it. How is that fair?
Amazon is interested in gaming. Too early to say if they are good or bad for the service but that statement from the Twitch CEO says Amazon will be hands off.
What this move shows is that if Microsoft ever offered Xbox for sale I think Amazon would jump at the chance to buy it.
i wonder how it fits in with Amazon's plan to deliver video services.
Also this BS 'teach Sony' message doesn't come from a place of wanting to help gamers have a good service. Sounds more like haters who are upset at the PlayStation's recent success. I wonder what console they like playing...
Article update says "Please keep in mind games on consoles has nothing to do with this article."
However with a headline like "Low End Steam Machine Beats The PS4 And Xbox In Specs, Features, Performance And Price" it has obviously been written to invite 'lively debate' about PC vs consoles, cheeky!
The sad thing is Microsoft could have invested the money into making their own third person game. They have a strong library of IPs they could use including Joanna Dark. Just think how much love Microsoft would be getting if they came on to the stage at Gamescom and revealed a new franchise - they would have been getting so much love.
This is a grubby deal because it doesn't benefit the industry, Phil Spencer just paid a hat full of money to restrict the game's relea...
Q1) What does exclusive to Xbox mean?
WHAT CRYSTAL DYNAMICS SAID: It means that Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming Holiday 2015 exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
WHAT CRYSTAL DYNAMICS MEANT:
It will be released before Christmas on 360 and Xbone. It will come to after formats after Christmas.
Q2)Does the exclusive to Xbox have a duration? Is it timed? How long is the duration? Can we expect a PlayStation 4 or PC release in the future?...
@Codewow. Apparently there are dragons in Dragon Age III. Maybe Bethesda should sue Bioware. /sarcasm.
I'm looking forward to the PC and PlayStation version of this. I won't be buying the Xbox version because it will encourage Phil Spencer to keep using Bill Gates money to restrict games from the biggest next-gen community.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is a cross-gen game so I doubt it will technically be as able to hit graphical heights of Uncharted 4 which has been designed to work on one console and take advantage of its features.
@PoorCusOfGames "Also that picture is creepy."
LOL! It's kind of like Phil Spencer is a cult leader or god that can do no wrong and all the Xbox One fans are looking up at him in awe!
I'd completely forgotten about this but now that you've bought it up...
Exclusives are part of this videogame business but it be a very dark day for the entire industry if Microsoft have paid for graphical parity - ie paid to impede the quality of the PS4 version.
I love coming on to N4G and commenting on anything and everything!
I do absolutely believe gaming websites including this one should be a place to discuss impropriety in the industry because journalists need to be accountable. But this story is too murky in facts and I don't want to say anything that could be hurtful without justifiable evidence, so on this one I have to say "I'm out."
Sorry Rashid but I would have to disagree with you on one of those titles - Uncharted 4.
In no way can you say the game has been overhyped. In fact Naughty Dog have been very deliberate in their restraint of details. All we've seen is the short reveal video, a logo with a voice over. And one teaser at E3. No reveals about the game, no information, no gameplay- nada. Not that I'm complaining but there have been interviews and videos for The Witcher 3 and Halo this year...
Phil Spencer has gone on record as saying he went to see his friends at Bungie to make sure they could upgrade Destiny on Xbone to 1080p. So Phil Spencer might not be holding a gun up to their head but he has pressured them. This is now proof of TWO times Spencer has visited two studios and asked/pressured/demanded 1080p.
I'm glad to see websites covering with this massive scandal. It seems that Patricia Hernandez relationship with her friend was closer than disclosed. This seems to suggest they were girlfriends/dating.

Please let's keep the insults and name callings out and just focus on this extreme incidence of nepotism. It is so bad but editor Stephen Totilo is just ignoring i...
